This Privacy Policy explains what information Taksim collects, how it is used, and the controls you have over your account and financial records.

We collect the account details you provide (name, email, and a hashed password), the budget records you create (transactions, categories, budgets, recurring payments, and savings goals), passkey credentials you register, and basic technical data such as your language preference needed to run the service.
We use your information only to operate Taksim: to authenticate you, store and display your budget records, generate monthly reports and analytics, send the emails you enable, and keep your account secure. We do not sell your personal data or use your financial records for advertising.
If you connect Google Calendar and Tasks, Taksim requests read and write access to the calendars and task lists you choose so it can show and manage your weekly agenda. Taksim's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to provide the agenda features you enable, is never sold, and is removed when you disconnect Google or delete your account.
Passwords are stored as salted hashes, passkeys use public-key credentials, and Google tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to your records requires signing in, and your budget data is never shown to other visitors.
We do not sell your data. Records are shared only when you choose to: inviting a member to a shared goal, or authorizing an MCP token or connected app to access specific features of your account. We also rely on infrastructure providers (such as hosting and email delivery) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
From Settings you can change your language, manage passkeys, disconnect Google, revoke MCP tokens and connected apps, unsubscribe from emails, and permanently delete your account. Deleting your account removes your transactions, budgets, goals, and passkeys.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, associated financial records are removed. Limited logs may be retained briefly for security and to meet legal obligations.
Taksim uses essential cookies for sign-in sessions and to remember your language preference. It does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Taksim is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. Significant changes will be reflected here with a new update date.
